Shooting with the Bushman-Panoramic Gobi Pano Head /October 22, 2013 by Gavin Farrell

I'll take you through the specifications of the new Bushman-Panoramic  Gobi Panohead and show how to set it up and properly shoot a complete 360 degree spherical panorama. I'll also show you a few extra features and additional components that can be used. The Gobi is a unique panohead and has a clever design that helps shoot additional content for your nadir.

VIDEO REVIEW PART 2

Rendered stitch of the panorama shot while filming this tutorial/review.

Please use the interactive viewer to look straight down. You can see I didn't photoshop this panorama to repair the nadir because I wanted you to see the result of what you get with the Gobi. It's amazing just a small bit of your tripod legs are still viewable. With other panoheads if you shot straight down you would see a large area of the center column of your tripod. Many Panoramic photographers have other tricks to reshoot the nadir but I can say none are as easy as using the Gobi. What's also nice is that it retains the exact height from the ground as the other shots revolving around the nodal in the pano. All in all a great design!
